About Cedros Kayak Fishing Tours
We want to offer a totally different fishing experience–one in which you can fly-in and basically live among the people on the island. We want the attraction to be both the absolutely incredible fishing and the experience of the local flavor and culture of this small island community. After all, we are all just visitors in the this small Mexican town.
A distinct difference in our approach: this isn’t a money grab at an isolated camp walled off from locals. We built the house in the middle of a neighborhood just up from the ocean. We engage with residents by bringing our guests to Cojito’s coffee shop, the blaze-yellow tortilleria across the street, the adjacent restaurant and more. We want to add something to the island not be a drain.
For those who prefer to fish from the seat of a kayak, Cedros Kayak Fishing Tours offers a unique experience in an incredibly unique place. Cedros Island, about twice the size of Catalina Island with about a quarter of the people, provides a chance to use Hobie Outback Mirage drive kayaks in small coves and inlets or chase yellowtail on open water while supported by a panga boat and guides. You can leave San Diego in the morning and — after a drive to Ensenada and roughly an hour and a half flight from a military airport — fish by late afternoon.
